Explore Rowing: Information Nights

We host information nights several times throughout the year. These offer potential rowers the opportunity to talk to current team members, learn about our facilities, and what rowing on the Great Miami River is like.

Explore Rowing: Learn About Rowing

Join us to learn about the sport of rowing over the course of two sessions. This includes a combination of classroom sessions with the opportunity to sit in a boat. This two-session introduction is geared to those who are interested in rowing but not quite ready to commit to the six-session learn to row program.

Explore Rowing: Learn to Row

Our Learn to Row program offers potential rowers the opportunity to get in a boat with current rowers and coaches to learn the basics of rowing technique over six sessions. A USRowing membership (Learn-to-Row or Basic) is required.

Recreational Rowing: Monthly Programs

Our recreational rowing program is intended to further introduce new rowers to the sport. Through coached sessions, rowers will continue to develop proper technique, build stamina and strength. Select from either one or two practices a week based on your interest and availability. The recreational rowing program is also appropriate for more experienced rowers with busy schedules, who can only join practice once or twice a week. A USRowing membership (Learn-to-Row or Basic) is required.

Coached Rowing: Seasonal Programs

Our coached seasonal rowing program is intended to further introduce new rowers to the sport on a seasonal basis. Through coached sessions, rowers will continue to develop proper technique, build stamina and strength. Two practices per week. A USRowing membership is required.

Independent Rowing: Seasonal Year Round

For experienced rowers, our competitive Master’s team offers the chance to compete throughout the country at a variety of regattas, primarily in the spring and fall. Master’s athletes continue to perfect technique while building strength, stamina and speed. The Competitive team practices three times a week, generally without a coach. Rowers will need to meet certain criteria before progressing from coached to independent rowing. A USRowing membership is required.
